Evoking Nostalgia in Planning Our Future

As many of the town offices packed up and moved to the new Newtown Municipal Center in Fairfield Hills, the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers pondered its options for maintaining the Town's notable landmark.

Alexandria Room Refurbished

Nearly 80 years have gone by, but Newtown benefactress Mary Hawley would immediately recognize the Alexandria Room today. For the last two months, the celebrated Edmond Town Hall ballroom has been completely refurbished, to upgrade a “worn” look and to restore its historic beauty. The room is fast-becoming a favorite rental for weddings and special events.

Newtown Rotary Cites Alexandria Room Renovation as 2008 Highlight

The Rotary Club of Newtown recognize Jim Juliano of the Newtown community for his outstanding efforts in completing the kitchen upgrades to the Alexandria Room at Newtown Town Hall.
